Adsense Decoded Review

Adsense Decoded Review

Adsense Decoded is the latest AdSense guide to hit the somewhat overflowing AdSense market. AdSense Decoded claims to cover all the steps you need to take in order to make your AdSense campaign successful. It consists of a series of videos hosted on the main website which you access with a user name and password. However you can download the videos to your hard drive and watch them at your leisure. For those of you who have been around the internet marketing scene for a while this may sound familiar, it should because the format is remarkably similar to Michael Cheneys AdSense Videos product which was released last year with a recent update.

AdSense decode comes with 10 videos the majority of which are at least 15 mins in length so there is certainly plenty of content. Video 1 shows you how Patrick's (the author)  traffic and revenue increased by 100's of percent in just a couple of days.
It also introduces the 3 main concepts you must improve to achieve success.

Video 2 discusses AdSense ad formats, what they are and which are the most profitable formats colors etc. It also covers the rest of your account settings which is very useful.

Video 3 explains the huge importance of AdSense tracking, how to do it and how to use the results to improve your stats. Video 4 I found very interesting as it shows you how the best results are obtained from placing your AdSense in the best positions (some of these I had never seen before) and then rather cheekily suggest that you might not want to use these as they are too successful at taking people away from your site! I guess what he means is use these on AdSense only sites.

Video 5 shows one of Patrick's AdSense sites and takes you on an in depth tour of what makes it so successful. He then goes on to summarize the 20 best practices tips he has showed you so far. Video 6 goes into great detail about adsense's Smart Pricing concept. Obviously this is his opinion as Google do not release details about this but his ideas make more sense than many I've seen before. Video 7 discusses creating or obtaining content and ad targeting. For me this is one of the most important concepts in AdSense revenue and he does an excellent job highlighting how to do this correctly, a very novel and refreshing approach.

AdSense Basics Every Publisher Should Know

AdSense Basics Every Publisher Should Know

Many people have online presence with ideas and plans of earning money. And topics such as earning money Online are really popular in that context. Internet is the only home to people who have plans to make Money online, no matter through promoting their business or through any other means. And among those other means, AdSense is the most popular one.

AdSense comes from the top internet company, Google and is often called Google AdSense. It was introduced in June 2003 and has been very popular among publishers who have desire to earn money. Publishers in this context refer to those who are publishing the Google AdSense advertisement on their website or blog. So if you opt for AdSense ads for your website or Blog then you are the AdSense publisher. Another part Advertiser is that if you are displaying the ads through the AdSense ads but that comes with different program from the same company (Google) namely AdWords. And now that's different story again.

Well, AdSense is an advertising program that publishers (see above) use to display advertisements on their website or blog in accordance to their content and make Money. Why we focus more with the term "content" here is really because AdSense Ads come with the type of content you have, or put it simply "AdSense is contextual advertising". Ads that are displayed on your website's specific page depend upon the content that you have on the page. For instance, if you have Blogger information on your blog's page then its more likely that you have ads related to blogger on your page. But sometimes what happens is the software thing of Google can't exactly determine the type of the context on your page or may not simply have the ads related to your content and thus the ads are not relevant. This also happens frequently if you don't have content on your page. But it's really essential that you have Ads according to the content of your page in order to make some bucks using this program.

Now, the AdSense program should not sound confusing if you are willing to make some money online; this is one of those programs that can really help you. But if you also want to know if it makes some sense using AdSense or the reason why I am saying its worth to give it a try, you can read the below sub topics of why to use AdSense and why you may not want to go with that program.

Why use AdSense?

The first thing that any one can immediately utter after looking at AdSense is Money. The money is the basic or primary thing to choose AdSense. And this is really important thing to seek AdSense. Almost all of the publishers choose AdSense only because they have the money making concepts in mind. And the good thing is that it's really possible to make a good amount through AdSense. Nonetheless making money through AdSense depends on lot many things which we shall be discussed in other posts of this blog.

12 Common Mistakes to Avoid While Using AdSense

12 Common Mistakes to Avoid While Using AdSense

AdSense Mistakes #1: Putting The Cart Before The Horse

Many people over think the way they use a fairly simple system in this day and age, and as a result make a mess of things. Because these systems are often new, people assume that they will naturally be complicated and "too different", and will require special knowledge, even when this is not the case. When using AdSense this often leads to a situation where the person thinks "AdSense" while writing content   rather than thinking "content".

Probably all of us have read sites which seem to have been designed to trigger AdSense. The content on these sites reads in a horribly forced way and sounds like it has been written around the keywords. Half of the time   let's say the keyword is "Swarovski crystals"   the content will be poor and over stuffed with keywords. The writer might as well just type "banana banana banana Swarovski crystals banana" for all the effort it takes to crowbar in a keyword. But if you are writing about Swarovski crystals, it's more or less impossible not to use the phrase anyway.

Indeed, it could be said that one of the keywords in this article is "keyword"   and because the article is about keywords, it has been used repeatedly without even trying. Pick your subject, think about it in a logical way, and you will see that obsessing about such a detail is not helpful for your purposes. Why overcomplicate a really very simple system? It just isn't necessary.

AdSense Mistakes #2: Trying To Trick Google

Hands up everyone whose mom or dad used to say to them: "If you had brains you'd be dangerous". Most of us? Or is that just my mom? Anyway, the point of the phrase, such as I understand it, is that some people in trying to be devious just reveal how little they know, and if they played it straight when they needed to, they'd get a lot further. This is something that people do a lot when it comes to AdSense.

An unbelievably large number of people make the mistake of trying to trick Google on a program that has been designed by Google. Now, we're talking about one of the most powerful and well known companies in the world. Do you think they've got there by being stupid? Don't you think that when they were designing the systems that have made them so successful, they might have planned for people who would seek to exploit loopholes? You're not going to pull the wool over their eyes, and if you try to they're not going to take it lying down.

Your best chance of AdSense success is to have a good site, as simplistic as that may sound. What ads do you think are going to get the most clicks? The ones that are on sites with a high Google ranking because the content is worth reading, or the ones that are hosted by someone who has thought more about how he is going to trick Google into giving him more money? Surely the answer is simple?

AdSense Mistakes #3: Clicking Your Own Ads

Have you heard the phrase "self praise is no recommendation"? Well, whether or not you have, it's true. If you are intent on becoming President or Prime Minister, then you are not going to get very far by wandering the streets saying "I'm amazing! Vote for me! Ask me about how fantastic I am   you'll be stunned by what a good account I give of myself!".

By the same token, you are not going to make much money on AdSense by consistently clicking your own ads. This has less to do with the fact that it takes a lot of clicks to make any real money, and more to do with the fact that Google are not stupid. You're not going to get any money from clicking your own ad   Google knows where the clicks are coming from and it will rule out any that you make for yourself.

Now, there is a difference between inadvertently clicking on your own ad   or trying it just to see what will happen   and consistently and regularly clicking on it. In the first case, Google doesn't bother much about it because such things can happen by accident or be put down to curiosity. But if you try to game them by repeated clicking on your ad, they will know   and not only will they not pay you, they will ban you.

There is a double punishment for anyone who tries to hoodwink the system in this way, which makes it doubly stupid to even try. Firstly, you waste a lot of your own time for no gain at all. Secondly, you won't be allowed to use the service anymore. So it's not worth trying to see if you can do it   do you think they're about to hand out free money to everyone?

AdSense Mistakes #4: Plagiarising Content

If you know a little bit about AdSense, then you will know that content which people want to read will attract the most clicks. It's just common sense. Many people, aware of this fact, will make a logical leap that can get them into trouble   and it's often impossible to have any sympathy for them when they do it.

You want readable content on your site, of course. That's how it works. But a staggering number of people labor under the impression that if they can't write it themselves, the best idea is to take it from somewhere they know it will be read. The idea is as follows: "I'm no writer, but this guy is really good. I'll use his content on my site, people will read it, and I'll get more clicks!".

The first thing wrong with this assumption is nothing to do with legality or morality. For one thing, it may get read a lot on one site, but that has a lot to do with placement and existing readers. Just placing it on your site won't immediately bring people in. Secondly, and this has a lot to do with legality, it is breach of copyright. You're not just breaking the law, you're doing it inefficiently.

It cannot be said often enough   you stand and fall on your own content. You might love that article on another site, but if you do, then you are better off linking to it and explaining why you love it. It's more honest and it won't get you into trouble. Write your own content, and if you really are an awful writer, pay someone else to do it   freelancers have surprisingly reasonable rates.

AdSense Mistakes #5: "More Is Always Better!"

If you don't buy a ticket, you won't win the lottery   well, that much is true. But this of course does not mean that you will win the lottery if you buy a hundred tickets. More to the point, here's another conundrum   if you ask one person out on a date, they might well say no, but this doesn't mean that you should spread your chances and ask twenty people out.

Why is this? Well, in the second case, the impression that you give is that you're not particularly fussy who you go out with, as long as someone says "yes". Someone might, by the law of averages. But if they find out that you also asked another nineteen people, they aren't going to be thrilled. In fact, by the time you get to person number #14, the chances are that they'll have heard just how desperate you are.

What does this have to do with AdSense? Well, quite a lot, surprisingly. If you paste AdSense units all over your webpage, you might think that one of them has to get clicked. But the fact of the matter is that people visiting your site will think "Would you look at how many ads there are here? I can't find any content   this is just an ad farm!". It's spam, and any clicks you do get will also have less value.

Favor quality over quantity. You may think that you're increasing your chances of making some cash by offering more opportunities, but if you look desperate, you're not going to get the quality you are after. You might get a date, but it will be with someone equally unfussy and the relationship won't be very satisfactory.

AdSense Mistakes #6: "If I Like It, They Will Too!"

One of the foremost rules of real estate and property development is as follows: Develop for the market and not for yourself. To take an extreme example, you might really love Justin Bieber. You might think "I'd definitely buy a house that had a huge picture of Justin Bieber on the wall, one that was impossible to remove or paint over!". But you're selling the house, not buying it, so what you like doesn't matter.

That's not meant to sound callous, simply to illustrate a point about how you make money. What you think is worth buying is not the important aspect when you're trying to sell. To maximise your chances of selling something, you have to give it mass appeal. Too many people get emotionally attached to developing a house for sale and make it something they'd buy, without thinking about the market.

The same goes for monetising a website. You might really like a particular niche   it can have a particular emotional attachment for you and you will find it easy to write enthusiastically about. Placing ads on that kind of content might well attract a small number of clicks from people who are equally enthusiastic about the subject   but it will not bring in much in the way of traffic.

This does not mean that you should refrain from setting up a website about a subject that enthrals you. Just don't expect it to be your money maker, and if you want to make big money you should look to develop a site which will have mass appeal and will attract clicks. Any money you make from the more obscure niche that you love is a bonus, because you like the subject matter anyway.

AdSense Mistakes #7: "If Everyone Likes It, I'm In The Money"

10 Ways to Better AdSense Earnings

10 Ways to Better AdSense Earnings

You can make lots of money monetizing your blog with AdSense if you have quality content, the right keywords, and the right AdSense ad layout. Many people complain they can't make money with AdSense or that it cheapens their site. I will show it how it will not only increase the value of your site, but how it will start building you monthly income!

I monetize my web sites and blogs in many different ways. I see many web sites missing out when it comes to non invasive ways to monetize your web site or blog, and they don't have to be ways in which you anger your visitors. In fact   good monetization will always compliment your web site, not "cheapen" it. I have also read many articles that debate when to monetize, and there are still some hold outs that say build up traffic on a site first and then monetize once it gets to a certain level. I'm sorry   that's just BS in my book, and I have the experience to back it up. Monetize your web site from day 1   PERIOD!

Why? Every post and page is an opportunity to make money. Making money with a web site is like planting a garden. Why would you want to keep plowing the field for 6 months and and keep waiting to plant the seeds? Also monetization is marketing, and marketing takes time and skill. Yes   skill. The more you do it the better you become, so do it from day #1.

Making money online is like a sport or a professional trade.

Ingredients you WILL NEED to become SUCCESSFUL:

Competent Trainers and Mentors
Passion and Drive to Succeed
Organization and Work Ethic
Ability to make 10,000 mistakes and keep going
Good Communications Skills
Practice, Practice, Practice!

Today we're going to talk about monetizing your web site with Google AdSense. If you're already using Google AdSense   read this article anyway and learn how to make more money using AdSense. Click the banner above to join AdSense if you haven't already. By signing up with AdSense you can build code snippets and place ads on your web site.

AdSense Myths:

To make any money you need thousands of visitors per day
Ads will make a percentage of your visitors leave and not come back
AdSense cheapens the look of your web site

You would be surprised how much more money you could be making with some very basic and simple changes to your web site. Think about how much you could be making per day. Just $1 per day is $30 per month, which should more than pay for most basic hosting plans (and then some). Only $5 per day and you're making $150 per month, $10 per day is $300/mo. It adds up quicker than you think. Especially if you have more than one blog or web site to monetize.

AdSense Facts:

You can make $1 $3 a day on as little as 20 30 visitors per day
A percentage of your visitors quickly leave anyway (the bounce rate)   you can make money on that dead traffic
AdSense is so targeted that it's less of an intrusion and more of a service compared to other ads

The first thing you need to understand is where the ads come from. AdSense is fed by Google's other product AdWords. If you haven't used AdWords before   it's where you can pay to drive traffic to your web site   you "pay per click". In the AdWords marketplace   people "bid over keywords". The more competition there is for a keyword, the more it costs and the highest bidder wins the top slot, the next bidder the next slot, and so on. For example it may cost 50 cents per click to get the keyword "designer handbag", but I bet you can get "clay flowerpot" for under a nickel. It's all about supply and demand. The most searched for terms are fought over pretty fiercely. Once keywords are purchased, the AdSense algorithm places the actual ads on web sites   matching them up with keywords and content on web pages. The algorithm is pretty amazing, and in most case will be serving highly target ads to your web site within minutes. If the ads are way off target or inappropriate   you need to re think your web site setup.

So once a keyword is purchased and an ad is written   it's matched up with a highly targeted web page where it should perform well. It doesn't matter how "busy" or popular that web site is, well performing and paying ads are placed on appropriate pages getting from a dozen to thousands of visitors per day. If you are using high paying keywords in your web site content, you will attract high paying ads. Did you understand that statement? Go back and read it two more times and think about it a minute.

That's right   the key to making money in AdSense is attracting well paying ads. If I have a web site that gets only 30 visitors per day, and 3 per day click an AdSense ad paying 35 50 cents, I can easily make $1 per day from this very low traffic web site. Of course everyone wants to get more than 30 visitor per day, but all sites have to start somewhere. I'm illustrating how easy it is to make money from day #1. I do this in nearly all the sites I setup. Many of you that have used AdSense for a long time won't believe it, because in my example my AdSense clicks pay extremely high and the click through rate (CTR) is 10%. Most sites are lucky to get a 2 3% CTR on AdSense ads, and the clicks usually pay a nickel or less on average.

I said earlier that if you received off target ads your blog or web site layout was possibly not "AdSense optimized". If you want to attract high paying ads and make the most AdSense revenue possible from your existing traffic   I'll give you some very simple rules to follow when writing articles, pages, and posts. If you follow these very basic rules you will not only get more revenue per click with AdSense, but (in the long run) you will also get more visitors, and better search engine listings.

Top 10 Ways To Make More Money from AdSense Using Keywords

Obtain a URL with very important keywords in your niche: I can't say enough about this. The #1 reason I have so many domains is because when you build a niche site if the domain has your top 2 or 3 keywords in it   you immediately start getting traffic from post #1. This is very important.
Use permalinks, pretty URL's, etc: This is second most important whether you are using WordPress, Drupal, Joomla, Mambo, or whatever. As soon as you setup your software turn on permalinks, pretty URL's, or whatever it's called so you posts have "site.com/this is my post". Having great keywords in the URL past the top level domain name is only second to keywords in the domain name itself.
Find the Best Keywords and Phrases: DO YOUR RESEARCH! Find out how to do keyword research. If you don't know what the best keywords for your niche are   there really isn't much point reading any farther than this...
Create a Great Title: When you write a post the title controls much more than you think. Everyday I read great articles with crappy titles. With every title you need to be thinking of using keywords that will be searched for while linkbaiting a title enticing people to click. This can be harder than it sounds, because the best titles are 6 8 words or less. I've gotten better at this over time, but it's just practice, practice, practice to become a master at it!
Have an H1 Title first: WordPress natively takes your html post title tag and puts it into an H1 tag as the textual title on the post's web page. If you use another CMS like Drupal, Joomla, Mambo, or something else make sure your Content Management System does the same. Keywords in header tags (especially the first header of the page) carry much more weight than laster in the content areas.
Start with a Synopsis Paragraph: Unless you are writing custom meta description tags for every single page the most important area of any post or page after the title is that first paragraph. This paragraph ultimately becomes your description under you title link in search engine results pages. You want to stick to 2 or 3 sentences when possible, or at least place your important keywords there. Remember   what you type will not only determine how well this page comes up in search results, but also how your page is described and why people click!
Bold important keywords as you write: As you write your post or article bold keywords and phrases when you are making points. These keywords, combined with your title and synopsis help target ads (and traffic!).
Link relevant sources: This is a given, but should be mentioned. Be sure to link only relevant items in your post   it helps target everything.
Organize sections using h3 and h4 headings: Using h3 and h4 headers in longer pages and posts is a great way to "sub title" the page with even more targeted keywords. It's also easier to organize information (and for more people to follow and read).
Use keyword laden categories and tags: Just before you publish that page or post, be sure to use great keywords to both categorize and tag it.

7 Powerful Ways To Make Money From Adsense Using Only Free Tools

7 Powerful Ways To Make Money From Adsense Using Only Free Tools

There is really no doubting that there are amazing incomes currently being made on Google AdSense and the really interesting thing is that even relatively small sites and blogs are finding new ways to make money from their AdSense sites every day.

Actually there are a lot of increasingly creative ways to make money and maximize on AdSense earnings that are being discovered and also being put to use every day. And what's even more fascinating is the fact that most of these tools being used don't cost anything. They are actually free. Here are 7 of the most effective currently being used.

a) Ways to make money from AdSense by Distributing articles through ezine and article announcement lists

Some of the most effective methods ways to make money from AdSense clicks involve the simple step of just increasing the volume of targeted traffic to a site. One of the ways of doing this is by distributing interesting content to ezine lists and article announcement lists. It is not too difficult to quickly build a list that reaches a million or so email boxes and can thus give a lot of visibility and drive tons of highly targetd traffic to your AdSense site or sites. Probably the most popular place for doing this is at Yahoo groups, but there are a few others that you can find easily by using your favorite search engine.

Success here depends on three main factors. Firstly you should be careful to join article announcement lists and ezine lists that are as relevant as possible to your subject matter and offering. Secondly your headline has to be a killer headline that will grab readers by the scruffs of their necks and force them to open your email message amongst the dozens or even hundreds of others they receive daily. It goes without saying that the content must meet the promise of your sensational headline. Anything less will cause annoyance and leave all those potential visitors to your AdSense site feeling cheated. And believe me, you don't want to cause this sort of reaction because it is definitely not one of the ways o make money from AdSense or any other program for that matter. Thirdly, you will need the sort of resource box in all your articles that will leave most of your readers with no option but to visit your AdSense site.

Within a very short of consistently applying this technique, my daily AdSense earnings increased seven fold.

b) Ways to make money from AdSense by Distributing free articles to high traffic article sites
Some people find the recent trends that have seen an increase in article sites surprising. I don't. The net is primarily an information seeking tool. Anything that will help improve the search and quality of information will greatly benefit the people making that effort.

Some of the older article directories receive very high traffic, mainly from web masters and site owners seeking quality free content for their sites. So apart from the immediate exposure these sites also guarantee plenty of future targeted traffic to your site, when folks find your articles useful enough to re post at their sites.

The more new articles you release to these sites every week, the more targeted traffic your AdSense sites will receive. This is in fact one of the most effective ways of making money consistently from AdSense clicks. One of the reasons for this is that targeted traffic will tend to spend more time at your site or sites, and the more time they spend, the higher the chances that they will click one one of the AdSense ads posted there.

c) Ways to make money from AdSense by Using Articles And A Viral Marketing Website

Any online marketing technique that involves the use of referral marketing or viral marketing automatically has a huge chance of being a success. The net is ideal for viral marketing and in fact gives any viral marketer huge leverage. Viral marketing or referral marketing is one of the most effective ways to make money online. Just ask Bill Gates.

When Gates was trying to play catch up on the Internet after an earlier mistake of underestimating the future importance of the net, he launched his Hotmail free email service when rivals like Yahoo already had millions of users. He decided to use a simple referral marketing technique. Every Hotmail message that went out had a brief signature at the end requesting the recipient to sign up for their free Hotmail account. Within a few short months, Hotmail had millions of users. And there are many other amazing stories which viral marketing boasts of on the net.

There is one of the very simple ways to make money from AdSense by going viral. Sign up at a leading viral marketing site. You will automatically get your own viral site. You can then use some of your articles to point people to your viral site. The way these sites work is that anybody who signs up at your site will have to visit your AdSense site if you register it at the site. So within a very short time you will be driving thousands of visitors to your AdSense site.

7 AdSense Affiliate Tips Avoid These Mistakes

7 AdSense Affiliate Tips   Avoid These Mistakes

People are bragging about how much money they are making from the Google AdSense affiliate program... But, you've been at it for awhile and you still haven't seen a big commission check in the mail yet...

With these seven AdSense affiliate tips, you can increase your AdSense income... Up until now, no one has ever pointed out what may be preventing you from reaching your earnings objectives. Could it be that you've been given the wrong information?

We'll look at seven mistakes that AdSense publishers make and how they should be handled. And don't worry; the suggestions for improvement are within the AdSense terms of service so you won't get banned from using them. After you are done reading about these mistakes, you should be able to identify if you need to make the necessary changes to your site.

So then, here are the seven mistakes AdSense affiliates make and tips to correct them...

(1) Creating Sites for the Purpose of Showing AdSense Ads

M.F.A. or "Made for AdSense," is the other term which people use to describe a site which was built for the purpose of earning AdSense affiliate commissions. The primary purpose wasn't to serve the people of a niche market online. No. The site was created for the owner to make easy money from people who click ads because there is nothing else of value on that site. No content, no real products being sold...

Tip #1: If you have a thin affiliate site, then start thinking about the market you are targeting and fatten it with information most helpful to them.

(2) Placing Ads on Blinds Spots

When the web was young, the 468 x 60 pixel banner ads where on almost every site...usually at the top before the real content below. They were effective back then, but Internet surfers have become so used to them being ads, that now a days they ignore anything in that location. So, placing AdSense ads in this region doesn't get as many click thrus.

Tip #2: The best places to place your ads would be within the written content; however testing will give you a scientific answer to exactly where your site will get the most clicks.

(3) Making AdSense Ads Look Like Ads

People tend to ignore anything that looks like an ad. The AdSense Setup tab in your account allows you to change the colors of the words, borders and background of the ads you will place on your site. If you choose colors that clash with the colors of your site, then it will draw negative attention to those ads.

Tip #3: For your ads, you should use colors which blend in with the color and content of your site.

(4) Not Knowing Where a Click Came From

People aren't using what AdSense calls "Channels" to help publishers track click thrus. These channels are assigned by you and help you figure out if clicks are coming from a specific ad format, region of your web page or an entire site. With this click through data, overtime it will help you determine which placement works out the best or which needs improvement.
